1What is CBD?
CBD, or cannabidiol, is one of over 100 cannabinoids found in cannabis. Cannabinoids are chemical compounds that can either be produced naturally by our body, called endocannabinoids, found in cannabis and some other plants, called phytocannabinoids, or synthetic cannabinoids that are manufactured artificially.

We have an endocannabinoid system which consists of cannabinoids and cannabinoid receptors located in our central nervous system, including the brain, and the peripheral nervous system. Cannabinoid receptors are like locks that can only be opened with a key called cannabinoid. Cannabinoids are chemical messengers in our body whose main goal is to keep our body in homeostasis.

Due to the fact that cannabinoid receptors are located all over our body, CBD has a very diverse effect on our system. CBD helps regulate a variety of physiological and cognitive processes such as pain, inflammation, mood, appetite, memory, immunity, digestion, and reproduction.

Imbalances in the endocannabinoid system can lead to imbalances pretty much anywhere in our body. Cannabinoids like CBD simply match our natural internal cannabinoids and help bring our body back into BALANCE.

2Does CBD get you high?
The short answer is no. CBD oil cannot get you high as long as it contains 0.3% THC or less. All Jace Clinical Solutions products contain 0.3% THC or less.
CBD is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid, so it can make you feel more relaxed and in-the-zone, but these sensations don’t even get close to the what most people relate to a marijuana high.

We should also expand on this question with a longer longer answer, though.

There are some other brandCBD oils out there that contain a considerable amount of THC (upwards of 5%), which can make you feel high. However, these oils are made from selectively bred marijuana strains that are grown for high CBD content. Still, they are not as low in THC as hemp-derived CBD oil.

3What is the difference between CBD & THC?
There are many moving parts to the answer to this question. We will simply scratch the surface with this answer.

Cannabis is made of nearly 120 compounds which are known as Cannabinoids. CBD and THC are the most common ones. Both marijuana and hemp contain THC and CBD. However, marijuana contains more THC and less CBD. On the other hand, hemp contains more CBD and less THC. Also, unlike THC, CBD doesn’t stimulate euphoric-like psychoactive sensations.

CBD and THC have the same chemical formula -- 21 carbon atoms, 30 hydrogen atoms, and two oxygen atoms. The difference lies in the way the atoms are arranged. That gives CBD and THC different chemical properties, and they affect your body differently.

Both CBD and THC work with receptors that release neurotransmitters in your brain. They can affect many things such as pain, mood, sleep, and memory.

4What do the experts say about taking CBD versus THC
Overall, it is generally accepted that CBD is safer than THC for a number of reasons. There have been certain studies that found statistically significant correlations between long-term use of THC and certain psychiatric disorders, including schizophrenia, depression, and psychosis.

However, we must note here that in scientific studies such as these, correlation does not imply causation; that is, the usage of THC might be linked to psychiatric disorders without necessarily being that root cause of them. (Much like lighters are linked to smoking, but possession of a lighter does not necessarily mean you are a smoker.)

As we have also seen above, CBD is considered to have wider applications than THC. Since CBD has been much less studied than THC, scientists assume that there are many new applications of CBD that haven’t yet been discovered. On the other hand, THC’s applications are more or less completely explored by now due to all the research on medical marijuana over the past decade.

5What is the difference between CBD Oil and THC Oil?
CBD oil for sale (if it’s legal) is made from hemp (cannabis sativa) and contains little or no THC.

THC oil is made from cannabis plants which contain a high amount of THC and usually very little CBD. THC oil is also called Cannabis Oil or Rick-Simpson oil and is illegal in most parts of the world because of the high concentration of THC.

6What is the difference between CBD Oil and Hemp Oil or Hempseed Oil?
CBD oil is made from the leaves, flowers, and stalk of the hemp plant—the only part of the plant where the cannabidiol you're seeking is found.

Hemp oil, or hemp seed oil, is made from hemp seeds, meaning there is little to no CBD content.

While it may be true that each type of oil offers its own health benefits, buyer beware, as hempseed oil does not contain any CBD. Hempseed oil is extracted from the seeds of industrial hemp. While it might be beneficial for cooking your favorite food, it has none of the same health benefits you're seeking as hemp-derived CBD oil.

7What dosage is right for me?
Consult your clinician for the best answer to this question. The use of CBD varies per person and product. Do not base your dosage on what has worked for someone you know that tells you what worked for them. Not only are we all made differently, we each have our own unique history with the use of substances, medications, supplements, and other things we put in our body. Because of this, we all have different body chemistry, and this will affect how our body reacts to CBD.

We have a guide that one of our physicians uses with their clients. This is simply being provided as a starting point to begin a conversation with your physician.

8How long does CBD take to work?
Similar to many other supplements or medicines?it takes time for CBD to start working.

In order to deliver its benefits, CBD first needs to be absorbed into our bloodstream. Once in the bloodstream, it can then be distributed throughout the Endocannabinoid System where the cannabinoid receptors in CBD can bond with the receptors in our body.

The interaction between these receptors is the catalyst behind the many benefits of CBD.

The short answer is that it varies based on several key factors: the usage method, the quality and type of CBD, and your body’s weight, metabolic rate, and composition.

The long answer will explain how each of these factors come into play and how you can use this knowledge to understand how CBD will work for you.

How You Take the CBD Matters

Each consumption method delivers CBD to the bloodstream by a different route.

What’s important to understand is that each route will pass through various digestive functions of our body, breaking down and filtering the CBD along the way. Depending on the dosage of CBD you take, only a percentage actually reaches the bloodstream.

Your consumption method not only affects how much CBD reaches the bloodstream, it affects how quickly the CBD will get there. Less digestive functions to go through, means less time that it’ll take to reach the bloodstream.

The Quality and Type of CBD Matters

CBD Quality
Low-quality CBD products have issues that can complicate the absorption process, slowing down how we process substances.

Type of CBD
Additional extraction and manufacturing processes, such as micro-encapsulation, can breakdown CBD into smaller particles, resulting in higher and quicker bioavailability rate.

Your Body Weight and Mass
Your body weight and mass has a profound impact on how your body consumes any substance. Simply put, a larger body mass will require more of a substance to feel its affects. As a result, it will take the body longer to process the larger quantity of that substance.

Your Metabolic Rate
Your metabolic rate is the rate of your body’s metabolism, which is the process of breaking down compounds and synthesizing compounds to achieve vital functions in the body. Many factors affect your metabolism, which naturally affects how quickly your body processes CBD.

Your Body’s Composition
Your body’s composition includes the composition of various parts of the body, each of which will have an impact on how quickly your body will process CBD.

9Do you offer varying strengths of CBD Oil?
As a manufacturer we have the capabilities to make varying strengths of CBD Oil for our clients. That being said, many times the lower strengths of CBD are offered by companies who are simply unable to make a good-tasting CBD oil with a high amount of CBD without it tasting "earthy". We worked internally with a flavor chemist to achieve an excellent taste with our 1000mg CBD oils. You are able to adjust to a lower intake simply by taking less of the product.
